Feast of Pope Saint John I

Good morning. In today’s Gospel Jesus informs us that He is a reflection of His Father. “So what I say, I say as the Father told me.” Just as Jesus is a reflection of His Father, we too carry in our words and our actions a reflection of our own upbringing. Most all of us come to an understanding of love and sacrifice by way of witnessing theses things with our own parents. For most of us we come to know the joy of doing for and sharing with another life’s ever changing moments by way of our parents’ example. How and what we say and do is in many ways a reflection of our own parents. It is through our parents we learn to reflect the love of our heavenly Father, and it is through us that our children will come to reflect that same love and goodness. How might we reflect God’s goodness and love in our words and actions with our children today? Make a great day!

Today we recall the good life, gifts, and works of Pope Saint John I.
