Good morning. In today’s Gospel we read about how there were folks who just could not bring themselves to believe in Jesus, even though there was ample evidence to support their belief. Jesus noted that the scriptures pointed to his being the Messiah. He cited God the Father as being His supreme witness. His life in general is a reflection of what the scriptures have consistently pointed to. His life is a reflection of God’s goodness and love. Do our lives reflect the same? Do our lives reflect our belief in Him? Does our marriage reflect God’s goodness and love in good times and in bad? When life is hard do we continue to embrace His goodness or do we doubt His love and care for us? And when life is being good to us do we continue to look to God or do we turn to other interests? Does our marriage reflect to others the goodness and love of our Creator or does it more reflect the distractions of the secular world? How might our marriage reflect God’s goodness and love today? Make a great day!
Today we recall the good life, gifts, and works of Saint John Baptist de La Salle. His life reflected God’s goodness through his devotion to education and care for the poor.
