Feast of Saint Donatian of Africa

Good morning. Like the Apostles in today’s Gospel we are all called to give witness to the Good News. Each of us teaches others by way of our words and our deeds. We serve as teachers to our children and as a married couple we serve as both student and teacher for each other. We live in a time where people are reluctant to give witness to their faith. People tend to be squeamish about publicly associating themselves with their beliefs. What lesson do we teach by our lack of witness? One of the most important things we do to give witness to the Gospel message is to live the example of love and commitment to a world which has lost the sense of fidelity and indissolubility. What lesson will we give witness to today? Make a great day!

Today we recall the good life, gifts, and works of Saint Donatian of Africa—martyred for his witness to the faith.
