Feast of Saint Angelus of Jerusalem

Good morning. “There's nothing you can do that can't be done…All You Need Is Love.” This song by the Beatles pretty well sums it all up, but I hardly think the late John Lennon and Paul McCartney were referring to this morning’s Gospel from the Book of John. Nevertheless, the answer to a happy and fulfilling marriage is essentially found in the Gospel for today. In fact, whether married or single the meaning of life’s journey is found in following Christ. Happiness will not be found in following the whims of this world; rather our love for our spouse will grow, and we will overcome the hurdles of life, and discover true happiness if our relationship is based upon our relationship’s greatest value, that of a love for one another that is about helping each other get to heaven. So, yes all you need is love, the love God offers us through His Son and Our Savior. Make a great day!

Today we recall the good life, gifts, and works of Saint Angelus of Jerusalem.
